Jesseco Child of Wonder

Since I was a child explorer sitting on a large rock in the middle of Cherry Creek when it was a creek full of wildlife and trout within my sight.

Where I went to find a quiet place to be with my thoughts. Hopefully, to catch a few trout to take home for supper.

While I was sitting there watching the water flow around myself and the rock. I said to myself, water is powerful yet flexible to go through or around whatever it wants.

I yelled out! "I will be the water!"

It has been a journey of growth. Within God's plan for my life. To use the gifts, he bestowed upon me. To be an inspiration to all that walks within my sight.

I must believe that whatever happens to me there is a resource and purpose.

As an artist and writer, I must feel this more intensely.

All that happen including our humiliations, our misfortunes, our embarrassments, all given to me raw and messy. So, I may shape the words I write and the strokes of my art brush to create what my heart and soul see's.

The little child is still within me.

Exploring the creative worlds of imagination.

Where they both collide in unpredictable artistic expression of love for all humanity.

She is in every word I write and every stroke of my art brush.

Whispers of a Night's Dream

In the last days of my love of my life. A constant struggle to walk, to breathe. Her inner strength was as steadfast as her faith.

I can remember the doctor quietly telling us that there was nothing more they could do.

Our faces full of denial.

We began preparing for the battle for her life.

God granted us two beautiful children. Today I have been blessed with three grandchildren.

Looking at my wife, we both knew her life was at its end. It did not take long for my wife to go to the hands of the father in heaven.

The blues and grays of color I paint skies are like the torments and struggles of the life we both endured together with love and faith.

Our life was not perfect, it was ours.
