Owls Moon
I’m excited to share my newest acrylic painting, "Owls Moon," a 24 by 36-inch piece that captures the mystery and beauty of a nighttime mountain landscape. The scene features dark, towering mountains beneath a swirling sky of purples and grays, with a full moon glowing near the center. What makes this painting special to me is how the moon’s face subtly resembles an owl lying on its side. In the foreground, a bright blue waterfall flows into still, dark waters, while green fields with a small white house and scattered trees bring a quiet sense of life to the composition. This work is inspired by my love for living in high mountain plains and my goal was to create a moody but inviting atmosphere through the contrast of light and shadow. I hope it draws you into that peaceful yet dramatic world.
